Gazella Gazella Mountain Gazella Of Hatay



A new species of mountain gazelle. They were discovered at the very recent date of 2008. They are endangered and red-listed. Their number in the wild is about 250. Apart from Hatay, they live in Israel, Yemen, UAE and Umman. Until recently, theywere known to live only in Şanlıurfa Ceylanpınar. Academic research proved that Gazelles of Hatay are indeed a different species. Their most important features is that they are wild, they inhabit mountainous regions, and they look more aesthetic. In this Project which took 6 months to shoot, they were observed in the wild for their nutrition habits, their fights, their reproduction cycles, their response to threats; in different times of the day and in different season.
